Every season has its own beauty – the weather, the flowers and the fruits. There are some seasons, which are famous for its varieties of fruits that they offer. Winter is one such season. Yes, it is a season full of colourful and juicy fruits. There are plenty of choices to pick from. It is good to have a fruit each day to maintain a good and proper diet as it benefits human health. In winter, one can fill up their fruit baskets with those juicy and tangy fruits, which are available in plenty during this season.

Before you go for filling up your fruit baskets in winter, let’s have a look on what are the choices from where you can pick and choose.

Mandarin Orange: These bright colour oranges are special in winters. They have a peculiar smell which attracts you to it. This fruit is a good source of Vitamin C, which helps a human body to increase its immunity and saves the body from catching cough and cold in changing weather.

Grapes: This fruit is a rich source of Vitamin A.  This is a sweet juicy fruit, which is available in winter also. One can take a handful of grapes and munch on it anytime of the day. This fruit helps to keep the human skin soft and supple in this dry weather.

Pomegranate: High citrus content and juicy pomegranates are available in plenty during winters. There is a high amount of fibre present in it, which helps to keep the digestion system normal in a human body, keeping the bowel movement regular. There are also high amount of vitamins and minerals present in this fruit, which can prevent heart diseases.

Red grapes:  Winter is a dry season and most of the people forget to drink sufficient amount of water, as they do not feel thirsty at all. This irregular water intake can create a lot of health issues for an individual. This fruit can save one from those health issues because red grapes contain 80% of water. If one keeps on munching red grapes on a regular basis during winter, it keeps the water balance normal in their body and leaving their skin soft and supple as well.

Cranberries: This fruit contains high amount of nutrients and antioxidants. It also helps to maintain a perfect water balance in a human body. Antioxidants present in this fruit can prevent colon and lung cancer. This fruit also helps in reducing inflammation and keep joint pains away.

Clementine: This is again a variety of mandarin orange. This fruit is soft, smooth and deep orange in colour. It is a seedless tangerine. This fruit, just like mandarin oranges is a great source of Vitamin C and it prevents stomach ulcer keeping the digestion system strong in a human body.

Kiwi: This fruit has a high amount of fibre which keeps the digestion system hassle free and healthy.
