London have introduced their new 1,880$ (each) bomb-proof recycling bins that come equipped with a LCD display and integrated WI-FI. The screens will change to display the weather forecast, various news and we're assuming ads as well. There are 25 "smart bins" placed throughout the city. Other major cities like New York City and Tokyo are expected to have these bins in the near future.
