Believe it or not but Myspace is trying to make a comeback and make an impact in the social media scene it once dominated. The new Myspace, being built from scratch, is backed by Justin Timberlake who has invested in the website and features a new sleek, clean and visual design which makes you navigate posts from left to right instead of the conventional top to bottom navigation.
For me, I really wish well to the people at Myspace because they were pioneers in the social media industry. The new design looks great and functional but it seems to me that they should've done this complete redesign five years ago to differentiate itself from the competition, especially considering the surge of social media sites that have popped up in the last couple of years.
I'm not sure, but it seems to me like you would be able to incorporate both your Twitter and Facebook timelines into your Myspace to have it all conveniently in one place, not a bad idea. But, is this new Myspace really necessary and is there a market for it? We'll just have to wait and see...until then you can book your place in advance in the new site if you want to try it out at new.myspace.com/.
