Here's an Official Hype first, our "song of the week" isn't new! Professor Green's hit Upper ClaptonDance is without a doubt our song of the week, we've been bumpin' to this all week long. The Hungarian Dance No.5 sample fits perfectly with the track. Check out the dope video for "Upper Clapton Dance". Even though this dates from two years ago, the song and video have aged very well and will most probably still sound/look good five to ten years from now.
IAMSOUND Records have sent us the video for LightHouse by NewVillager. We gotta say, we were pleasantly surprised as the video and song are equally dope and original. Check it out, it's worth a view and a listen!
Here's another dope remix by DJ Wick-it the Instigator. We really enjoy how he brings his unique touch to his remixes and all the awesome samples he uses (Katt Williams at the beginning). Check it out!
This video is so ridiculous it has to be shared and viewed! Check out the visuals for Gio Gio by Tiger Love. We warn you, if you're disturbed by a large group of young adults in gold underwear rubbing eggs on each other, do not watch. This London based group will surely be getting some attention in the next few days.
Check out the entertaining and at times political art of illustrator "Combo". His personal motto reflects on his art : "I want this world for what it is: a cartoon where everyone must play its role." Check it out!
You can see more of his illustrations on his flickr account.
Check out Columbus, Ohio native; Blueprint's track Go Hard Or Go Home (Printnificence). The track is from his most recent album entitled "Adventures In Counter-Culture". His rhymes and lyrics in this track are truly great and the beat is dope aswell, the song doesn't even have a chorus. Check it out!

The video is directed by Tarik Saleh and stars swedish actor Stellan Skarsgard (you'll recognize him if you've seen a couple of Lars Von Trier films). In the video, Lykke Li downs shots of vodka and dances around in the restaurant like a boss.
This really surprised me, the track sounds great! The instrumental is engaging, upbeat, soulful and head bobbing worthy. The vocals by CJ and Nas both flow perfectly in this track. Check out this Salaam Remi produced track!
Check out this impressive project by biochemist/photographer Linden Gledhill. These "water figures" "were created by stretching a balloon over a speaker to form a membrane. A few drops of paint were then placed in the centre of the balloon and a single sharp note was played through the speaker, causing the paint to erupt for just a fraction of a second." The result is absolutly awesome. Check out these photos and two videos displaying the "water figures" in action.
Russian graphic designer/illustrator Ruslan Khasanov has come up with a new typography that involves water and ink poured onto paper. The resulting product is visually stunning and just looks awesome in general. Check some of the letters out!

Juliana Santacruz Herrera filled the potholes with colored fabric/wool in the streets of Paris. The result is quite interesting as it gives the grey streets so much more life and energy. This is a great idea as it doesn't vandalize anything and who's going to complain about colored wool in potholes? Check it out!

If you were one of the 100 million people who didn't watch today's champions league match between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, you missed Lionel Messi's second goal of the match which was amazing. Not quite as spectacular or flashy as other goals but his sheer speed, control and balance is incredible. The game ended 2-0 for FC Barcelona. The game was played in Madrid. The second part of the leg will be played next Tuesday in Barcelona.
"Zevs (pronounced Zeus) is not only one of the most political artists within our already partisan roster, he is becoming seen as one of the more inspired practitioners of mischievous street work, his Liquidated Logos series, for example, are arguably the most direct and recognisable examples of the oeuvre. His many years of activity on the street has drawn much controversy and attention from the 'high art' world, blurring as it does the line between 'street pieces', conceptual art, and good old-fashioned angry vandalism. Not to mention the attention of the local authorities wherever he may be, which isn't a good thing whilst painting a huge Liquidated Chanel Logo on the front of Hong Kong's flagship Armani store ..." - Via
Now check out his two new prints, the liquidated "Hammer & Sickle" and "Louis Vuitton" logos.
You can buy these 70cm x 50cm prints today on The Outsiders for £200.00 ($330 US). They are limited to 50 editions, they're numbered and signed by the artist.
A couple of minutes ago, Kobe Bryant threw down a monster dunk on Emeka Okafor of the New Orleans Hornets. This came as a huge surprise considering he injured his ankle/foot in Game 4. The Lakers are in a tough first round series with the Hornets. The series is currently tied up at 2-2 and the Lakers are currently leading 54-51 at halftime.
UPDATE: Kobe just threw down a sledgehammer dunk with his left hand on Carl Landry!!! He's on beast mode tonight.
Allright, here's a nice little house mashup by dutch dj/producer Marco V. He mashes the vocals of Diddy Dirty Money's hit "I'm Coming Home" with Steve Angello's "Knas". I expect this track to get some airplay in house/electro clubs over the summer. The track was already played by Calvin Harris in one of his sets recently.
"Aqua Teen Hunger Force" has technically changed it's name to "Aqua Unit Patrol Squad One" and they also changed their theme song. The new song was written by "Queens of the Stone Age" frontman Josh Homme and Alain Johannes. Check it out!
"Make happy hour even happier. What appears to be a paint can primed for graffiti is actually a cocktail shaker waiting to prime your pump--the cap of the shaker even has an arrow on the top, like a can of spray paint! The back of the "can" features a removable label full of drink recipes to try out on your amused guests."
"The stainless steel Graffiti Cocktail Shaker, designed by William Kellogg, holds 14 ounces. 9" tall x 3" diameter."

"In short: the group have partnered with RED Distribution/Sony to form their own label, Odd Future Records. In the words of a press release sent out earlier today, “Tyler, Hodgy [above], Leftbrain, Domo, Mike, Syd and crew will partner with Sony’s RED Distribution arm to release music-based content consistent with their vision.”
And according to their manager, Chris Clancy, the group “will have 100% creative control of all aspects of their music, art, and release schedule with no 3rd party participation in outside business…RED and Sony know that it’s in everyone’s best interest to maintain the group’s authenticity and control. They built it, they deserve it. There’s no cheesy hooks or fluorescent liquor product placements in the works.. It’s about to be fun.. and different…”
Last Gasp, famous graphic novelist brings us his version of Pinocchio ; a very dark and satisfying tale. This gives a pretty good idea about the mood of the book : "In this dark rendition, a greedy Geppetto builds Pinocchio as a metallic weapon of war, while Jiminy Cockroach is a homeless squatter living the good life in Pinocchio’s skull." Get a copy May 1st, it looks amazing.
