Calvin Harris was on Annie Mac last night where he premiered his new single entitled "Awooga". It's not the usual Calvin Harris type of sound. This is a club banger, no lyrics. The beat and drop is pretty good and the official music video was released today. The video is horri-awful though. Check it out!

Massive earthquake & tsunami in Japan
NYTime's Martin Fackler and Kevin Drew report
Here are some frightening images from CNN:
Before and after photos of Sendai airport
To help out the Japanese people from this gigantic disaster, Visit redcross.org or the canadian red cross

"TOKYO — An 8.9-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Japan on Friday, the strongest ever recorded in the country and one of the largest anywhere in the last century. The quake churned up a devastating tsunami that swept over cities and farmland in the northern part of the country and set off warnings as far away as the West Coast of the United States and South America.
Japanese police officials said that more than 200 bodies were found in Sendai, a port city in the northeastern part of the country and the closest major city to the epicenter, and the government put the official death toll at more than 300. But with many people still missing there and elsewhere, the death toll is expected to rise. A senior Japanese official said foreign countries had offered to help and Japan was prepared to seek overseas assistance."

Japan is probably the most prepared country in terms of facing earthquakes, their stricts engineering codes for buildings to prevent massive damage against earthquakes has saved millions of lives but that doesn't mean that these people don't need help, do as much as you can, whether it be a 5$ donation or a 1 000 000$ donation.

Fuck Mondays. Our weeks start on Fridays. This week's song is Baby By Bullmeister. Good electro-pop to start off the week-end. This kindergarten in Ljubljana, Slovenia looks awesome. The wood panels on the side are used as shades and as a fun, creative, learning tool. The kids can learn colors and arrange the side of the kindergarten to different colors, so the building can look different almost any day. Great architecture! The Lonely Island - MTV Spring Break 1988
Not really sure what's this all about, The Lonely Island hosting a MTV Spring Break party from 1988. It's funny with the distorted VHS colors and memories of MTV's Spring Break parties of the past. I believe it's fair to suggest that MTV is bringing back the Spring Break party, thus creating this potentially viral video. This is the first of two "highlight reels" from The Lonely Island on MTV's Spring Break '88.

Watching movies on Facebook, teams up with Warner Bros.
Wired is reporting that starting in March, you'll be able to watch (by streaming) movies produced by Warner Bros. on your Facebook profile. The first movie to test the waters is Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight". It'll cost you roughly 3$ to view the movie and you'll have 48 hours to view the film. "But the possibility that Facebook could become a competitor to Netflix made the latter’s stock take a hit Tuesday, dropping $12 (nearly 5.75 percent) on an up day for the broader market".
Facebook has officially become a gigantic powerhouse in my opinion.

[Video] Brutal hockey hit, Zdeno Chara on Max Pacioretty
I honestly thought the Montreal Canadiens player was dead. He didn't move for a really long time. Did he do it on purpose? I wouldn't be surprised if he did, considering the two's history. At least there's good news; reports are coming out that Max Pacioretty can move and feel all of his extremities. I wonder if Chara will face some discipline from the NHL. The Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins rivalry is the biggest in hockey.
UPDATE: Montreal Canadiens coach Jacques Martin gave an update on Pacioretty's condition fifteen minutes ago : " Max Pacioretty has a severe concussion, as well as a fracture of the fourth cervical vertabrae, but it's not displaced"

[Video] Matta - Release the freq
Not quite sure what to think or to say after watching this Kim Holm directed video. Hey, at least it's original, who features living deer as their main actors, with some weird effects and 3d graphics? I'll let you think about it. I still like it, good camera work and the colors were fitting for the music and overall nature of the video. Grimey dubstep is always a plus. Overall, good work!

TED Video: JR speaks @ TED 2011
French street artist "JR" won the 2011 TED prize of 100,000$, which is used as a wish to change the world. He will use that money for his next project. JR is famous for his large scale portait photographs that are plastered in cities, villages, slums, etc. He uses a 28mm lens camera so the photos are really up close and personal. He first started doing this during the 2005 french riots. He then continued to do the "Face2Face" project, where he plastered israeli and palestinian faces next to each other. He has put his work all over the world. It's an inspiring talk, with alot more details and explanations for his work, you should most definetly check this out.

Miami Heat...not so clutch
The Miami Heat are most probably the most over-analyzed, over covered team in the history of sports. Of course they brought that attention to themselves by themselves. Re-signing Wade, signing Chris Bosh and having Lebron James have a full one hour "team announcement" on ESPN, also saying they're going to win six championships and comparing themselves to The Beatles of the sports world. They've lost 4 out of the 5 last games, and in their last loss, Coach Spoelstra claimed that some players were crying afterwards in the locker room. The Heat have been terrible late in games, when it matters. And with that, the whole world (mostly Cleveland) is laughing. Here's a video compilation of the Heat's lack of clutchness set to Soulja Boy's "Turn my swag on". The "Benny Hill theme song" would've also been appropriate.
