Architecture video mapping by using your voice

Now, I've already seen a couple of these architectural 3D mapping videos, like the 4D Ralph Lauren show and the Tron: Legacy Tokyo premiere but this one is quite impressive and different. 1024 architecture is a company that make these awesome 3D, audio-visual, interactive performances and exhibitions. It's kinda hard to explain what they do exactly since this is relatively new (to me). So here's one of their performances in Lyon, France. The audience can use their voice to deform, distort the images on the screen, which is a building.

You should most definetly check out their other videos/shows on their vimeo page.

Yelle - Safari disco club/Que veux-tu (official video)

Yelle released the official video for "Safari Disco club", a song you've most probably heard in the near past. The video is pretty weird (not that weird really), it's european, she's french so some weirdness is to be expected...maybe it's not weird, maybe she's on some new shit that we don't know about. Anyways, it's a double video because at the end of "Safari Disco Club", the video continues with "Que veux-tu". They seemed to run out of budget for the second part of the video though.

George Mason University plays Kanye West's "Power"

March Madness is coming and George Mason University are most probably gonna get in the tournament. Meanwhile, their pep band are playing Kanye West's "Power" and I believe there was a little bit of "All of the lights". Green Mason's pep band had a viral hit not long ago with their cover of Rage Against the Machine

Here's the Kanye cover.

Just came back from Mac Miller's show. Dope? Pretty Much. Didn't like the guy first actually but he's got energy and swag least to say over some refreshing stuff. He also just released a new video for his single Donald Trump featured on his upcoming tape Best Day Ever (released March 11th). Don't forget to grab  his Kids' mixtape with my favorite song Knock Knock. Happens here.

Super Mario EXCEL painting

Apparently after saving the image, excel and the entire PC crashed. Doesn't surprise me. To the person who did this, you've got amazing excel skills. You are a winner, didn't even know this was possible.

Twitter: No IPO and denies JP Morgan talks

Earlier this week, the NY Times reported that JP Morgan Chase were seeking a 10% stake in Twitter, thus increasing it's (twitter) value to 4.5 billion. Twitter's co-founder, Biz Stone denies talks with JP Morgan Chase and claims that the report was "made up". He also dismissed the possibilities of an IPO in the near future, saying : "We are not even discussing it internally. It's too far off".

Beeple

Got really impressed by the work of Mike Winkelmann. He's basically a graphic designer that makes very short animation videos for VJs . The hype? They're free to use. Quote: ''These files are available under a sort of "open source" concept. They are intended for educational use but really can be used for whatever the fuck you want.'' His fame also grew when he made the fucking amazing clip for Flying Lotus Kill your Co-workers  You can even download all the characters grid on his website. Check it out

Brazilian soccer medic does flips on the pitch

Everybody knows that brazilians have the most flair when it comes to soccer. So much that even their medics have more swag than any other medic in the world. There's a player injured on the pitch and this dude sprints, does a front flip and then cares for the player. He does this a couple of times. The crowd loves it obviously. Can you say euh...winning?

We salute you swagtasic brazilian medic.

JPMorgan Chase & Company seek minority stake in twitter

"JPMorgan Chase’s new fund aimed at investing in social media companies is seeking to buy a minority stake in Twitter that could value the service at close to $4.5 billion, people briefed on the matter said Sunday."

The fund is reported to be worth 1.2 billion dollars. It's not quite sure if the fund will invest directly in Twitter or buy out other Twitter investors.

For those who don't know, JP Morgan Chase & Company are banking giants, valued at 1 trillion dollars and have 2.12 trillion dollars in total assets.

Internet companies, SERIOUS BUSINESS.

You can read more about this in the NY Times

What it looks like hosting the Oscars.

The 2011 Academy Awards were sunday night, it was by far the worst Oscar's that I've seen in my life, and the critics seem to agree. The hosts, Anne Hathaway and James Franco were absolutly terrible. It was bad. The King's speech is boring. Colin Firth is an actor who can s-s-s-tuder...whoop dee fuckin doo. But I must admit, when the show started and the hosts came out, I was intrigued by one thing only. James Franco came on stage with his phone out and was filming his entrance. I thought that was cool and wondered what it looked like to be in his shoes. Oscar's might be 2 hours and 45 minutes too long but 40 million people watch this, no matter how crappy it is, it's still a big deal. Here's the video.

There are more Franco photos and videos from the backstage of the Oscars on James Franco's twitter.

The last breakfast

Throughtout the years, there have been many versions of Da Vinci's mural "The last supper". Sculptor Brian Stuckey did own version of the mural with cereal mascots. It's all sculpted and it looks good. The table is just under one meter, so you can get a basic idea of the scaling of this piece. My mind is easily amused.
